新記載された南ア産シラタマ。Cowies and their relatives of Southern Africa 2nd Edition（Liltved, 2000)のP176でｃｆ.T.aperta
とされていたのが本種であろう。背中の肋はapertaよりやや太く粗く、背面の色はキャラメル色。外唇歯は１１本、内唇歯は１３本。EastLondon沖の深さ１００ｍほどの海底に生息する。

南ア産の中でも珍種。１００＄ほどか。
